The Start

I'm just starting to get into photography because I LOVE taking pictures. Several of my friends have told me to start writing about my adventures/experiences with living with 4 boys in my house (my dear, sweet husband and my 3 sons...and I guess you can count my cat, he was a boy once too). So here it is. I'm starting this blog and we'll see what happens. The reason I love photography so much is because you can literally freeze time. Now that I have 3 boys, it seems like my life flashes by before my eyes and I don't want to forget a single moment of this lifetime. I remember when I had my first son, John, it felt like the days moved so slowly sometimes. I was so excited for him to move on to the next milestone. I feel like I cheated myself and him out of savoring each moment and milestone. Now I look at him six and half years later and I can't believe that cubby little baby has turned into a beautiful and active almost 7 year old and now there are 2 more little guys to enjoy. Mom life is not easy. Whoever thinks that being a stay-at-home mom is sitting on the sofa eating bon bons is sorely mistaken. I don't think I've ever worked so hard in my life. And before being a mom, I was in graduate school full time and worked 3 full time jobs. Now that there are 3 little ones running around, I don't get lots of time to sit at the computer and type. Since pictures are worth 1000 words, my plan is to try and take a picture a day to capture life at this time...the good and the bad. Plus, since I'm trying to get better at this photography thing, I figure this will give me lots of practice!
